A while back Tom's Hardware posted an article describing how to make a LCD projector out of an LCD computer monitor and a overhead project (the type you see in grade schools). The end result is a fully functioning projector capable of 1024x768 + resolutions with a very high brightness. Of course its up to you how much you want to spend to get the parts but I priced it out at about $500. Not bad considering what you get. For now though this project has taken a back shelf. I will post info as I get started on it.
