saab car stereo - even newer head unit
It turns out my Clarion head unit was broken. The non-fading subwoofer pre-amp output was not putting out nearly enough output. I sent to Clarion for warranty repair but they indicated it worked fine. It doesn't take much to lose my business and I cant tolerate inept warranty repair staff. So I bought a Kenwood head unit. I have had Kenwood headunits fail in the past but at least Kenwood has repaired or replaced them no matter what. This kenwood does have some fun features:
