sonett - wood shift lever, new reverse switch

My car is not factory original. Some prior owner replaced the plastic interior trim with wood. There is a wood steering wheel. The dash has some wood accents. I love it.

I recently saw a solid wood shift knob pop up on ebay. I think it came out of a 60's Saab 96. As far as I can tell, it was a factory option as I have seen several vintage saabs with this knob. I figured why not complete the wood look. Having installed it, I must say I really like the shape of it. It fits much better in your hand than the original leather knob. The font is a little too old for my 1974 Sonett, but it sure does look nice.
