saab - pushing out dent in rear drivers side door
Since the day I bought the saab it has had a serious dent in the rear driver's side door. The door still opened and the window still went half way down, but it certainly didnt look at that nice. The door ding strip was not on the door but I was extremely lucky that the strip was in the trunk at the time I bought the car. Well I had a shop give me a quote on how much it would cost to fix the door. It was over $1k which is about 400% more than I wanted to spend. I figured I would try to fix the door myself. It couldn't much worse. Of course when I finally got around to working on the door it was below freezing. Anyways I set up a kerosene heater and hair dryer on the door so I didn't break the paint. After about 20 minutes of beating on the door it looks much better... certainly not perfect but better. Best of all the door ding strip now fits back on and the window goes all the way down.
