The saab only has a single cigarette ligher. 1995 was a dark age for cigarette lighters. It was some where between having 4 because smoking was trendy, and having 4 because iPODs and cell phones need to be charged.

I decided to add a second aux power port as that should cover almost all my power needs while on road trips. Lucky for me the rear ash tray had a spot where a power port should have gone. I am not sure why Saab choose to remove this as a functional power port. Regardless, it was the perfect spot for my aftermarket power port.

I tapped into the existing wires for the power port up front. I ran these wires back to the rear ash tray. I had to cut plenty of holes, including one for the actual power port to slide into the ash tray area.

Once it was all done it does look factory. I am just glad to finally have that second power port. Maybe next I will address the cup holder issue... only 2? Really Saab??
