The roor vent fans were original, at least I think. One leaked badly. The prior owner had purchased a replacement cover which I installed last season. The cover on the other fan promptly cracked and started leaking. Rather than replace the cover for $50, I decided to replace the entire fan for just 5x the price. This was in no small part due to the fact that the bug screens on the old fans were litterally falling apart and driving my wife crazy.

The new fans are amazing. For the back I got a Maxxair Maxxfan Plus 40002K. Its white, has a 4 speed fan that can suck out or blow in. The cover tilts up manually. So in the back of the RV we can open the cover and see the sky.

For the front, I got the Maxxair Maxfan Deluxe 5100K. Its basically the same fan as the back fan except this one has a full enclosure on top allowing you to keep it open while driving down the internstate in the rain. Both fans are very quiet and very powerful.

Both fans were also slightly larger than the original ones. The old fan housing had rounded corners. The new ones are squares so there was plenty of cutting to make the new fans fit. Also the old fans were just grounded to the body. The new fans' housing is plastic I actually had to run a ground. All in all, the install took about 5 hours start to finish.

I also replaced the bathroom vent fan. After I bought the RV, I turned on the original bahtroom vent fan and the blade immediately disintegrated into a fine dust. It was actually amazing. The new vent is the same design as the old one so it fit without cutting. One surprise though, the new interior shroud was not deep enough to completely cover the opening through the bathroom ceiling to the roof. I had to reuse the old shroud which was probably 3/4 " taller than the new one. That's okay though, it is the same yellowed plastic color the rest of the bathroom is.
