Great design saab!|||100_9234.JPG;battery is slightly taller but does not interfere with battery box top|||AlbumDescription;

The original battery in the saab finally died. I am picky about batteries. Whenever possible (as in always) I get Optima batteries for my cars. I have never had an optima battery fail, but I have also not had a car for more than a few years after installing one.

There are no Optima batteries that are the same size as the original battery, but there is one that is close enough. It is slightly smaller and taller. It actually fits in the battery box perfectly as the screw in battery hold down has a second hole it can be screwed into that perfectly matches the width of the optima red top model 35 battery. Installing it takes about 2 minutes.
