My 650 is running rough. It is running though which is nice, it just in not running well. As a matter of fact, it idles rough and backfires sometimes. Giving it a 25-75% throttle makes it run worse. It only runs ok at full throttle. This may be due to the fact that removed the air box in favor of K&N like air filter pods or that I replaced my failed stock ignition with a boyer unit. Both these mods are supposed to require more fuel for proper operation.

I am no carb tuning god so I found a tool that takes the guess work of it for me, a colortune. This is essentially a clear spark plug that lets you see the color of the flame in the cylinder. White is too lean, yellow / orange is too rich. I got a full set of 4 of these spark plugs so that eventually I can tune all 4 carbs on the xs1100 at the same time. Thankfully the xs650 and xs1100 use the same size spark plug.
