The black part is burned|||100_5046.JPG;I cut out the burned part and spliced in some repalcement wire|||100_5047.JPG;It was too tight for wire nuts so i used these nifty push clips|||100_5049.JPG;I installed an outlet in the hole. I still have lots of drywall patching to do before it looks good|||AlbumDescription; It seems like forever ago that I was hanging the projector screen on the wall. One of the last screws I put into the screen ended up puncturing a power wire in the wall behind it. This knocked out power to the outlet just underneath the screen as well as the closet behind it. This meant that I had to run an extension cord to the bathroom to power the subwoofer in the closet. At the time I was working on more important things so I didnt fix the wire. Well I finally got back around to fixing it. Step 1 was trying to remember where I had split the wire. Then I had to cut into the wall, from the closet side, and try to find the puncture. Without too much demolition I found the spit, cut it out, patched it with a new wire, and installed a new power outlet to hide the hole I made. Now all the power outlets work again which is great.|||
